How many people are thinking about to buy the New iPad?
By Tahirí Rojas

Baird Equity Research has made a study about how many people expect to buy a New iPad in the next three months around the world and in the US.

They found amazing conclusions: 29% of international surveyed are talking about having a New iPad soon, whereas 24% of Americans respondents share the same intention.

Researchers said that even the size of sample was not too long; it is absolutely representative of the population.

So, 24% of Americans is around 75,180,480 people; 29% of world population is around 19,983,747,030. Then, this research could be talking about 20,058,927,510 of people thinking about buying the New iPad in short time.

Are those figures reliable? Is it possible? Is Apple ready for this?

At the moment I do not have any answer for these questions.

Anyway there exists more statistics:

·         Around 48% of iPad’s owners are thinking about buying the new one.

·         Among 42% of people hoping to buy the New iPad have never had and iPad

·         15% of surveyed want to have an iPad 2.

About reasons:

·         28% of people hoping to have the New iPad told that the reason for their election is the Retina Display.

·         26% because A5X processor.

·         17% gave LTE as first reason.

In my opinion, it is incredible news, and it is time to wait for future to know what happen.

One of iTunes tools: English 2.0 Podcasts

One of iTunes tools: English 2.0 Podcasts
By Tahirí Rojas

It is important to remember that with your iPhone and iPad you have a chance to learn about a lot of things that are limited only by your own interest. Into iTunes you can find help to fix a car, to cook, to learn a new language or to improve your mathematics skills.

In my case, I have been using it to improve my English, and I have found a lot of apps and podcasts. Today I want to tell you about one of them: English 2.0 Podcast which is a good tool if learning English is your goal.

English 2.0 Podcast has been created by Al Slage who wants to help people in Japan to learn English using a new method; anyway they have been downloaded by more than 100,000 people around the world.

Al told me that he had the idea to do a podcast around 4 to 5 years ago, because he just was interested in the new type of media. However, he didn't really know how to start it, but he knew that he wanted to do a video podcast to help communicate his messages more clearly. He never really started it then because he started to do other projects; but he had this growing message inside of him after teaching English in Japan for nearly 10 years. He had seen many students succeed and fail in English for many different reasons and he just wanted to share what he felt were the key reasons for success. Also, he had been studying a lot about success in finance and business, and he wanted to apply these key principles to language learning as well. So, he wanted to help people change their mindsets (particularly in Japan) about English and how to approach it. To him, having the proper mindset and then taking action based on a goal is the true way to reach the next level. That's how he came up with the name English 2.0 Podcast; it was a new way of thinking and looking at English. He said “There are hundreds of English podcasts available but I felt they were mostly the same”. Contrary he wanted to stand out somehow and the way he did that was by sharing success principles and talk about aspects of English that no other podcast had done before.

Nowadays, you can find 15 English 2.0 Podcast in iTunes, and Al makes one per month; they are amazing, and a wonderful tool to improve your English.

Furthermore, if you want to have a free pronunciation course, you can register in his page (http://alsensei.com/ ) and ask for it. There are plenty of possibilities to find videos, podcast, classes and more.

It is a chance to improve your English, and remember in iTunes you have apps for almost whatever you need.

Enjoying the new camera and the New iPad!
By Tahirí Rojas

Even if the iPad 2 was on the top of technology from the first day to it was launched to the introduce the New iPad, it had a handicap: it's limited camera. But now, this problem is over.

You can forget the time of mediocre pictures from your iPad. You have a chance to enjoy amazing photos with your New iPad which has incorporated  the ISP (Image Signal Processor) right into the new A5X chip, enabling features like face detection and image stabilization; and packed a five megapixel backside-illuminated sensor, five-element f/2.4 autofocus lens with IR filter which captures videos.

So, it is your time to enjoy your pictures and forget past limitations

What is happening with new iPad and 4G technologies?

What is happening with new iPad and 4G technologies?
By Tahirí Rojas

One of the highest expectations with the New iPad has been the chance to use 4G telecommunication technology. It is now possible in most of the world; anyway, today Norwegian LTE (Long Term Evolution) has announced that it will not be able to use 4G, because in Norway (and some other Europe areas) 4G network has standards of 800 and 2600 megahertz, while the New iPad offers just 700 and 2100 megahertz.

Petter Arnstedt who is the Nordic Countries press spokesperson, said: “I can confirm the new iPad will not work on the LTE network.”

Furthermore, Mobile network provider Netcom confirms, “The new iPad also has support for faster 3G speeds, despite the fact that one cannot take advantage of 4G. NetCom will be launching a 4G router for the private market before the summer, and that will make it possible for iPhone owners to connect to 4G.”

You can have an iPad for cheap!

You can have an iPad for cheap!

This problem is over now! Apple has diminished the older iPad prices; so you can find the first iPad for $150 US less on refurbished tablet which have nothing wrong, actually it means that it has been checked out again after some time of being use. Moreover, the original iPad (16GB Wi-Fi) is around $299 US, while iPad 2 (16GB Wi-Fi) is listed for  $349 US.

Remember that iPad 2 is still on the top of technology and not too far from the new one, with only some differences in the screen, the camera and other features. But you can find it in lower price than other tablets of basic technological level.

Your patience has paid off; it is your moment to have a cheaper wonderful tablet.

By Tahirí Rojas

Yesterday was not just a day to launch the new iPad; it was time to introduce IOS 5.1 for iPhone 3, 4, 4S, iPod Touch and iPad 1 and 2.

The majority of 3rd generations of Apple dispositive are asking their owners to download the new IOS 5.1. But what is so good about it? That's a very important question!

The main features of this new operative system are:

·              Deletes individual images from our photo folder iCloud streaming.
·              Access the camera from the lock screen more easily.
·              Displays multiple faces detected in the camera function.
·              Easier navigation in the Podcast section.
·              Redesign of the iPhone's camera function.
·              Improvements in battery performance of the teams IOS.

Is it really that amazing? In my opinion, I woke up this morning and read all news about Apple innovation, I downloaded the new IOS 5.1 and I am still waiting for good news related with the high expectation of past days.

What is the difference between the new iPad and iPad 2?

What is the difference between the new iPad and iPad 2?
By Tahirí Rojas

After a long expectation, at last yesterday Apple launched the new iPad. It is possible to find a lot claims about the new iPad around the world; the most common saying is that the new iPad is not more that a poor actualization of the iPad 2, because it has the same size, color and price.

Anyway, it is time to know the difference and to offer Apple the benefit of the doubt it deserves for the years of innovation and technological revolution that it has given us. The highest differences are:

·              Screen: it has a resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 with a total of 3.1 million pixels.

·              Processor: it is called A5X and the main goal is to make the iPad faster without having to spend the battery.

·              Camera: the backside camera has 5 megapixels and it is able to record HD videos. Furthermore, it includes an image stabilizer, face recognition and the ability to improve snapshots automatically with poor light conditions.

·              Microphone: Apple added an option to dictate voice into the iPad.  For now it is able to recognize English, French, German and Italian.

·              4G: the new iPad can use the LTE communication nets which are faster and more stable than 3G. It could be the beginning of the end of 3G technology.

This new model could include a rear cover to protect the iPad's aluminum backside; so it will be protected not just in the screen. Around the world people have complained about the fact that iPads could be in danger and the Smart Cover could not protect it in general; then Apple listened to us.

The new protector will not be compatible with the iPad 2, but rumors say that the Apple is also working in a new Smart Cover for the oldest model.

New iPad: 3 or HD?

By Tahirí Rojas

The portal CNET has launched today that the new iPad will not be called Ipad3, it will be the iPad HD; as it is usually, Apple will break with the expected name looking for the innovation and to raise the expectation.

This new name could be related with the patent problems which Apple has had with the tablet in China; however this name could have the same troubles too, because it was register by iPadHD.co.uk since February 26, 2010 before the iPad was introduce.

In general, Apple has problems with names as well it is a creative technological company. So they have had troubles with the launched of the iCloud for the same reason.

Forgetting the compatible problems between iPad and video flash!
By Tahirí Rojas

Flash video compatible problems for iPads are over! Some days ago Adobe has announced their new video platform available for iPad. It is called Project Primetime which is the "industry's first fully integrated video technology platform" whose new tech runs well in the majority mobile platforms and moreover what is more important is that it is perfect for IOS in general. Additionally, it is perfect for desktop operating systems and smart TVs; because the new adobe platform will offer television-esque viewing sessions across your web-enabled devices.

This "new platform" promises to help the television  and media providers  with live and on-demand viewing on a number of internet-friendly devices, as well as workflow that pulls together streaming, content protection, analytics and advertising,

Is the patent problem of iPad in Shanghai over?

Is the patent problem of iPad in Shanghai over?
By Tahirí Rojas

Although the “iPad” name was first registered by the Taiwanese affiliate of Proview Technology in China during 2000 (long ago Apple developed their tablet); on Wednesday Shanghai court has thrown out a civil case against Apple, "a lack of evidence that... the sales of the 'iPad' tablet computer constitutes a trademark violation." It said the Pudong district court.

So Apple prevails over Proview Technology in the trademark case; anyway Apple protracted an ongoing legal battle with the debt-laden Proview Technology over rights to the iPad name. "The court has decided to reject the provisional injunction and terminate the litigation of the case," Pudong district court said.

The national Japanese broadcaster NHK which has been developed with high-resolution broadcast technologies since 1982, it is now breaking the expectations with their announcement: they are developing a new sensor able to capture up to 8K video at 120fps.

The promise is: The new sensor will be capable to hold on Super Hi-Vision company of 7680x4320 pixels which, at 33MP will have a 16x time higher resolution than the one we actually know (1080 HD technology).

This information has been reported at the IEEE International Solid-State Circuit Conference which as usually is taking place in San Francisco. They have informed that the high-speed chip is being developed with Shizouka University.

Anyway, it is important to say that it will take time to arrive into our homes, they are talking about to launching it around 2020, because now they have just some demoed; however, it will be known around 2012 Olympics games when NHK will be used to show some prototypes of 60fps.

Will HP be able to come back to tablet world?

Will HP be able to come back to tablet world?
By Tahirí Rojas

Meg Whitman (chief executive of Hewlett-Packard) was talking about their new tablet (during an on-stage chat before a small gathering of entrepreneurs and executives at a Wall Street Journal Viewpoints West gathering in Silicon Valley) and said: "It is not really a tablet market, it is an iPad market".

So HP is trying to fight with iPad a place into the mountain of top tablets. Whitman admitted that the iPads are great: "The iPad is terrific; I have one," she continued. "I use it to read books or watch TV but I don't use it to really get work done."

The strategy could be to catch people who are looking for a tablet to work easier and with Microsoft compatible stuff; then it will have Windows 8 software. Whitman said that their strength has been to provide people with a tool with a wide and easy chance to improve the working needs.

HP admitted terrible results with their first tablet the past year, when they decided to discontinue it (TouchPad) just seven weeks after it was launched. They said that it was a chance to improve and that they are trying new things.

The Simpsons for iPhone.
By Tahirí Rojas

Are you looking for good news?

Well, it is your chance!

EA has development the game that you were waiting for. The first game of “The Simpsons” for iPhone is coming soon. "We want this to be one of the biggest titles this year," said EA exec Bernard Kim. "We've invested a lot. It's absolutely a top-tier development priority for us."

Moreover, the game will be free; you could download it in iTunes, and play free; so the currency will be Donuts which you can be used to progress. You will find Donuts littered around the City; however, EA is waiting by your payment to get them in short time.

The only description which has been found is: “The Simpsons, Tapped Out sees Homer destroying Springfield with a nuclear explosion. He then sets out to rebuild the city with a design of his own” (reported by CNET) “While the game visually resembles a Sim(psons) City, it seems that this urban renewal requires you to complete quests for various members of the show's cast, who will apparently be voiced by their respective actors. The script will also be handled by the show's writers”.

There is no official launch date yet, but rumors are talking about that the iOS version will arrive in the next few weeks.

Are you worried about what is doing your cat while you are working or out of home? Are you wondering if your cat is breaking the sofa or something else?

Are you worried about what is doing your cat while you are working or out of home? Are you wondering if your cat is breaking the sofa or something else?
By Tahirí Rojas

Well, it is time to forget these kind of problems, and focus on your business, at the time that your cat is focus on its.

The technology has knocked the door in the life of your pets too; well, specifically your cats.  Bond University student Saxon Cameron designed and developed the app for the RSPCA, it has been called the Affection Collection and it is part of a university charity project; you can download free this app in iTunes for your iPad. Then you put it on the floor, open the app, and your feline will have long hours of funny and stimulating activity which could help it do not feel alone, neither going outside home and being in troubles or danger.

This app has been qualified as easy, fun and stimulating for cats. The biggest worry of the cats’ owner has been if the iPad screen could be break by their paw. The good news is: remember that the iPad’s screen is not easy to scratch unless you have a diamond or a strong hit with a hard surface.

So, don’t worry, put your iPad on the ground, and left your cat alone with it without fear.

Rising expectations about the new iPad.
By Tahirí Rojas

One of the biggest and most expected events for these months is the launching of the new iPad which all news are announcing for the next months.

There are running all kind of rumors about the new iPad, maybe the strongest are:
•        It could be named iPad 2S (not iPad 3 as all people are expecting).
•        It could be a mini iPad with a screen of 7 or 8 inches.
•        Its frontal camera could have 1.3 MP, and the back one 8 MP (which was the biggest complaint of the owners of iPad 2, because the camera didn't have a good level).
•        There could be an 4G/LTE version.
•        It might have a retina display.
•        It might have Siri
•        And the last one: It could be cheaper than the older.

Anyway, nobody is sure about it, the only thing that looks clear is that Apple is maintaining their expectation campaign which had held the highest level of sales. So it is time to wait for a few weeks as everyone thinks or maybe as long as Apple decides to.
