The portal CNET has launched today that the new iPad will not be called Ipad3, it will be the iPad HD; as it is usually, Apple will break with the expected name looking for the innovation and to raise the expectation.
This new name could be related with the patent problems which Apple has had with the tablet in China; however this name could have the same troubles too, because it was register by iPadHD.co.uk since February 26, 2010 before the iPad was introduce.
In general, Apple has problems with names as well it is a creative technological company. So they have had troubles with the launched of the iCloud for the same reason.
