What is happening with new iPad and 4G technologies?

One of the highest expectations with the New iPad has been the chance to use 4G telecommunication technology. It is now possible in most of the world; anyway, today Norwegian LTE (Long Term Evolution) has announced that it will not be able to use 4G, because in Norway (and some other Europe areas) 4G network has standards of 800 and 2600 megahertz, while the New iPad offers just 700 and 2100 megahertz.

Petter Arnstedt who is the Nordic Countries press spokesperson, said: “I can confirm the new iPad will not work on the LTE network.”

Furthermore, Mobile network provider Netcom confirms, “The new iPad also has support for faster 3G speeds, despite the fact that one cannot take advantage of 4G. NetCom will be launching a 4G router for the private market before the summer, and that will make it possible for iPhone owners to connect to 4G.”
