One of iTunes tools: English 2.0 Podcasts

It is important to remember that with your iPhone and iPad you have a chance to learn about a lot of things that are limited only by your own interest. Into iTunes you can find help to fix a car, to cook, to learn a new language or to improve your mathematics skills.

In my case, I have been using it to improve my English, and I have found a lot of apps and podcasts. Today I want to tell you about one of them: English 2.0 Podcast which is a good tool if learning English is your goal.

English 2.0 Podcast has been created by Al Slage who wants to help people in Japan to learn English using a new method; anyway they have been downloaded by more than 100,000 people around the world.

Al told me that he had the idea to do a podcast around 4 to 5 years ago, because he just was interested in the new type of media. However, he didn't really know how to start it, but he knew that he wanted to do a video podcast to help communicate his messages more clearly. He never really started it then because he started to do other projects; but he had this growing message inside of him after teaching English in Japan for nearly 10 years. He had seen many students succeed and fail in English for many different reasons and he just wanted to share what he felt were the key reasons for success. Also, he had been studying a lot about success in finance and business, and he wanted to apply these key principles to language learning as well. So, he wanted to help people change their mindsets (particularly in Japan) about English and how to approach it. To him, having the proper mindset and then taking action based on a goal is the true way to reach the next level. That's how he came up with the name English 2.0 Podcast; it was a new way of thinking and looking at English. He said “There are hundreds of English podcasts available but I felt they were mostly the same”. Contrary he wanted to stand out somehow and the way he did that was by sharing success principles and talk about aspects of English that no other podcast had done before.

Nowadays, you can find 15 English 2.0 Podcast in iTunes, and Al makes one per month; they are amazing, and a wonderful tool to improve your English.

Furthermore, if you want to have a free pronunciation course, you can register in his page (http://alsensei.com/ ) and ask for it. There are plenty of possibilities to find videos, podcast, classes and more.

It is a chance to improve your English, and remember in iTunes you have apps for almost whatever you need.
